AlcoCalc

What does ‰ mean?

Per mille (‰) means one part in a thousand; one percent is ten per mille. AlcoCalc provides a modelled estimate, not a measurement.

ABV and blood alcohol level measure different things

The ABV on a label is the percentage of alcohol by volume in a drink. A result in per mille (‰) is an estimated blood alcohol level. These are different measurements.

What a zero means

A result of 0.00‰ is rounded output from the model. It does not mean the calculator has measured that no alcohol is present.

What is BAC?

BAC stands for blood alcohol concentration. When comparing values, always check the units and how each value was obtained.
