Residual alcohol: what you need to know
Residual alcohol refers to alcohol that has not yet broken down after drinking. Neither a calendar day nor a feeling of sobriety confirms a zero level.
Time is counted from consumption
The model doesn't drop drinks just because it's midnight. If the end time is less than the start time, it interprets the range as drinking past midnight.
How to enter an evening drink
Choose a real time range and add all drinks. For example, 21:00 to 01:00 means starting the previous evening and ending after midnight. Times refer to last completed range.
Estimate may not match measurement
An incomplete drink list or incorrect volume changes the calculation. However, even precise inputs will not eliminate individual differences.
If you need to decide on a ride
Don't rely on model, timeline color or subjective feeling. The calculator does not confirm the ability to drive.
